Burglary Appeal - West Witton and Redmire

Important Message – Please do not ignore

Police are investigating three burglaries in the West Witton and surrounding area. We believe that the burglaries have taken place between the 12th February 16:00 and 13th February 08:00.

All of the burglaries have involved tools being stolen from Outbuilding and sheds.

Do you have any information which would assist North Yorkshire Police in finding hose responsible and help keep your community safe?

Did you or anyone who you live with, hear or see anything around the above time and date?

Do you have any CCTV coverage capturing the burglary, or anything happening on the street before or after?

Do you have a vehicle with a dash-cam parked in the area?

We are also asking that you all check your sheds and outbuildings, ensure they are secure and that nothing has been taken. If anything has been stolen, please report it on 101.

Security Advice

Ensure that all doors are locked overnight, and windows are locked or on a latch.

Remove any valuables from sight and it is advisable to keep house/cars key, wallets/purses, phones/laptops/tablets in the room where you sleep.

Consider fitting a security light to the side of your property.
